SK Telecom announced on November 15 that it recently signed a MoU with Hana Card and KB Card, to develop AI financial services based on open platforms.
With the new MoU, SK Telecom will provide card-related information that checks Hana Card and KB Card benefits through AI's "Who" through voice and checks nearby card retailers.
The two card companies will also provide personalisation inquiry services such as the amount due for payment, the remaining limit, the date of payment, the balance of points, and the card usage details after applying the personal authentication method.
Customers can use card-related information by voice, such as "Give Hana Card or KB Kookmin Card the highest discount rate" and "Give Hana Card or KB Kookmin Card discount benefit."
Meanwhile, SK Telecom is currently developing open platform-based AI services such as information service for school bulletin boards and inquiry for gas charges.
"This MoU means that it will introduce South Korea's AI speakers to its credit card-related services for the first time," said Park Myung-soon, head of SK Telecom's AI business unit. "We plan to continue to upgrade our open platform to make it easier for businesses and developers to create 'who' services."
