KT discussed ways to create '5G ecosystem' with small and medium business partners in the 5G era, which is just around 10 days away and it also announced its plan to strengthen cooperation with small and medium sized venture companies in future business and global fields.

KT announced on November 20 that it held "2018 Partner's Day" at the TheK Hotel, Seocho-gu, Seoul.

About 300 executives from 170 companies, including KT Chairman Hwang Chang-kyu, KT Customer and Media Division CEO Koo Hyun-mo, KT network division CEO Oh Sung-mok, attended this event.

Starting in 2014, KT held 'KT Partners Day' to share business direction with its partners and encourage them.

The event is a place where business partners can promote superior technology to find new business items between KT and its partners and strengthen cooperation.

In particular, KT announced 'Plan for Investment Direction and Win-win Growth' this year, emphasizing its commitment to co-develop the fourth industrial revolution era with its partners and create a 5G ecosystem.

After the announcement, the two parties signed a "wage gap movement" agreement.

KT's plan for co-growth is largely in three directions.

First, it will actively lead the development of 5G ecosystem through cooperation with small and medium businesses in South Korea from the beginning of its business.

Second, it decided to fully open its platform to maximize the convenience of small and medium-sized venture companies in developing innovative technologies. It is planning to open platforms based on innovative fields such as 5G, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Smart Energy, Block Chain, and IoT (Internet of Things).

Third, it supports small and medium-sized enterprises that are mired in stagnant growth to actively enter foreign markets.

There was also a time to revitalize 5G ecosystem. KT introduced a case where it developed 5G service with its partners through 'Use Case presentation'.

"KT is making various efforts to turn 5G commercialization service into a decisive opportunity for Korea's fourth industrial revolution on December 1," said KT Chairman Hwang Chang-kyu.
