Hexindai Announces US$25 Million Share Repurchase Program

BEIJING -- Hexindai Inc. (NASDAQ: HX) ("Hexindai" or the "Company"), a fast-growing consumer lending marketplace in China, today announced that its board of directors has authorized a share repurchase program under which the Company may repurchase up to US$25 million of its ordinary shares in the form of American depositary shares over the next 12 months, accoding to PRNewswire on Dec.11, 2018.

The program aligns with the Company's commitment to maximize shareholder value, and affirms its confidence and optimism in the long-term future of the peer-to-peer lending Industry in China. Under the program, the purchases will be funded from cash on hand or future cash provided by operating activities. There is no guarantee as to the exact number of shares to be repurchased by the Company, and the Company may discontinue purchases at any time that the board of directors determines additional purchases are not warranted.

The proposed share repurchases may be effected on the open market at prevailing market prices, depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, share price, trading volume and general market conditions, along with Hexindai's working capital requirements, general business conditions and other factors, as well as being subject to applicable rules of Rule 10b5-1 and/or Rule 10b-18 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.
