Now anyone can learn Korean from their home.  A professional Korean education company, KNOTE created an online Korean language learning program called SELKO.

Korean professors from prestigious universities have developed SELKO.  SELKO is designed for learners to learn the Korean language through various stages.  Learners are able to receive Korean dictation from the program.  Also, there is Korean to English translation that can help with guiding sentence structure.

SELKO consists of six steps from primary to advanced.  The steps include about 10,000 words.  There is facility to search vocabulary, grammar, proverbs and formulae within the system.  The content is primarily geared towards success in Korean proficiency tests.  Korean tutoring is available to support independent learners  in the program via telephone or email for detailed grammar explanations.

This discrete service takes its place proudly amongst myriad learning methods that are both time consuming, such as face-to-face language exchange, and unproven.  SELKO is of great value to foreigners to Korea that plan to converse with Koreans for business or leisure.  The resource has the added advantage of being able to be accessed from anywhere in the world and could become an important feature of pre-visit, cultural familiarisation programs.

The Korean education service can be found at: http://hiknote.com/ and www.selkoweb.com
