The self-parking concept 3D graphic video.

Hyundai and Kia Motors introduced 3D graphic videos that contain concepts of Smart Self-parking on December 28.

It further embodies the blueprint for providing easy and comfortable mobility experience in the era of self-driving cars.

The self-parking concept video, which was released this time, is about a driver leaving the car at his destination, and the car goes into an empty charging space and charges it wirelessly.

Electric cars that have finished charging leave charging space for other cars and move on their own to complete the park. Also, if driver calls out his car on a smart phone, the car moves itself to a designated location.

It is a technology that increases convenience of entering and exiting parking lots by applying self-driving technology.

All of these processes are made with continuous connectivity between the vehicle and the parking facilities, charging facilities and drivers.

Parking facilities send location information of empty parking spaces to vehicles and wireless chargers send and receive information from electric vehicles in real time.

"Hyundai and Kia Motors are going to work on developing technologies that apply self-driving technology so that customers can experience self-driving more conveniently and safely." said the Hyundai and Kia Motors.

Hyundai and Kia Motors are considering applying self-parking function when they are releasing fully self-driving cars around 2025.
