SK Telecom announced on January 3 that it released 'Yoon Sun saeng Speaker' that combines NUGU Artificial Intelligence (AI) with interactive English learning contents.
Yoon's "speaker book" combines voice-recognition AI with English-language teaching materials for the first time in Korea to provide a three-dimensional environment in which children can naturally become familiar with English.
It has applied interactive method that allows students and AI to conduct learning as if they are talking to each other.
Children naturally use English expressions while communicating with speakers through singing English songs and solving English quiz.
If a learner says "Aria, let me hear Yoon's voice," then related contents are played through speakers. AI and learners will learn by exchanging questions and answers.
AI connects with contents after learners say the correct answer, and asks questions in a easier way to help them understand if they get the wrong answer.
SK Telecom and Yoon have developed a service that enables two-way English learning based on whose open platform "Nugu Developers" since they signed a business agreement in September last year.
"SK Telecom is planning to evolve into an artificial intelligence learning management assistant by continuously loading variety of educational contents into NUGU," said Director Park Myung-soon of SK Telecom's AI business. "It is expected that the AI-based English education will develop into a natural English education instead of a rigid one."
