KT announced that it succeeded in broadcasting '2019 Wanna One Concert' that was held at Sky Dome in Gocheok on the 27th through 5G network. The photo shows the inside of a broadcasting car that transmits the footage of the performance received from the 5G network to the broadcasting center at the Sky Dome where the final farewell event of the Wanna One concert was held.

KT announced that it succeeded in broadcasting '2019 Wanna One Concert' through 5G network at Sky Dome in Gocheok, Seoul on January 27.

KT succeeded in transmitting entire live performances of Wanna One concert through 5G technology.

KT delivered videos of 4K UHD performance through sink-view equipment and wireless cameras that are connected to 5G network without any delay to viewers although more than 25,000 people are gathered.

KT applied its 5G broadcasting technology to the concert as much as possible.

Besides about 10 wired cameras that were installed at the site, it also installed its own sink view equipment and wireless equipment.

Sinkview is a technology that processes and transmits ultra-high quality images in real time through a very small camera that is equipped with wireless telecommunication modules.

Ultra-high-definition video filmed by a sink-view device is transmitted to broadcasting cars through 5G Mobile Hot Spot and 5G network, which are built around Gocheok Sky Dome.

After that, the broadcasting car transmits the video to the broadcasting center, which enables viewers to watch live services on their television and smartphones.

"If 5G broadcasting technology is applied, live broadcasting will be possible without any delay even in places where large number of people such as concerts, sports events and others are gathered." said Director Park Hyun-jin of KT's 5G Business Headquarters. "We are going to open an innovative 5G live era where high quality broadcasting can be anytime, anywhere by broadcasting 5G live."
