LG Display held its first exchange meeting with its partners this year and has reinforced its commitment to co-prosperity and strengthening cooperation for development.
LG Display invited about 80 CEOs of its major components and equipment partners to LG Display's business site in Paju on January 28 and held '2019 New Year's Meeting for Win-Win Growth'.
Under the slogan "Let's leap beyond survival," LG Display announced its plan to grow together with its partners.
Detailed plans include ensuring the highest cost competitiveness, establishing a supply chain management (SCM) for new projects, complying with quality/delivery units, and safety management.
Based on this development, LG Display is planning to further accelerate its steps toward market leadership in 2019 along with its partners.
In addition, LG Display awarded 'Best Partner Award' to seven leading parts and facilities partners in 2018.
"It was possible that LG Display and its partners were able to overcome a number of crises and go beyond their limits because they acted as one-team," said Han Sang-beom, vice president of LG Display. "The value of win-win cooperation will become more important in the future in order to adapt to change and continue to lead the market."
Meanwhile, Cho Young-moo, a researcher at the LG Economic Research Institute, gave a lecture on the domestic and international economic outlook for 2019, and Lee Tae-jong, a member of MI (Market Intelligence) of LG Display, also shared the view of the display market in 2019.
