Netmarble released on January 31 that Ambassador Michael Danagher visited Netmarble to express his gratitude for Netmarble's continued investment, including the expansion of Kabam.

A visiting group of Canadian representatives met with CEO Kwon Young-sik of Netmarble and discussed ways to promote cooperation in expanding Netmarble's entry into the North American market.

Michael says "The game industry is one of the fastest growing industries in Canada, boasting the world`s third-largest in terms of human resources and technology, and also leads the global AI-related sector," and also, "We expect the expansion of Kabam will help improve Netmarble's competitiveness in the global market, and the Canadian government will actively welcome and support Netmarble's expansion into various areas."

Kwon says "We are grateful to the Canadian government for its continued support and cooperation in discovering and developing Netmarble's new business in Canada," he also says "We look forward to creating various opportunities to create synergy with each other through active mutual cooperation and information exchange."

Meanwhile, Kabam, a North American subsidiary that Netmarble acquired in February 2017, is a mobile game developer established in Vancouver, Canada. Its flagship product is 'MARVEL Contest of Champs', which is a mobile game that has been popular in global markets such as North America.
