Electronics Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) contrives to enhance interactive communication with government, Korean citizens, internal staff and media via Twitter. On Twitter, which is a social networking service that can send and read messages between users, ETRI conveys a variety of information from R & D news, events, career information, purchases and technical transfers in real-time. They expect to receive inquiries from customers instantly and consistently.
If anyone who wants to communicate with ETRI, they only need to register with Twitter and be a follower of ETRI newsmakers (@ ETRINewsmaker). And users can recommend the ETRI news to their followers, who are interested in ETRI information (It is called 'Retweet').
For celebrating the launch of the Twitter service, ETRI threw an event. They will draw some followers who have tossed the ETRI published news to their followers and offer a gift until next month.
In fact, ETRI has been running Blogs ( Naver : http://blog.naver.com/etripr and http://blog.korea.kr/etri) in order to actively communicate with customers since 2006. A total of 110 thousand people have visited blogs so far and shared ETRI News, IT technology/ market trends, IT glossary and IT-related information.
An official from ETRI said "By running Twitter in conjunction with ETRI Home (http://www.etri.re.kr ) and ETRI blogs, interactive communication with customers will be enhancing. ETRI keeps having ears for the satisfaction of customers."
