NCsoft has achieved its biggest performance ever. NCsoft said on Feb. 12 that its operating profit last year was 614.9 billion won, a 5.11 percent increase from the previous year.
Although operating profit is the biggest ever since 2017, its sales during the same period decreased by 2.48 percent to 1.7 trillion won and its net profit also dropped by 5.08 percent to 421.5 billion won.
Sales by region are 1.23 trillion won in South Korea, 128.3 billion won in North America and Europe, 35.2 billion won in Japan, and 36.7 billion won in Taiwan.
By product, it made 913.3 billion won in mobile game, 263.9 billion won in Lineage 2, 63.4 billion won in Aion, 119.6 billion won in Blade & Soul, and 80.2 billion won in Guild Wars 2.
Royalty sales rose by 39 percent year-on-year to 281.6 billion won due to Lineage M's success. Lineage M has been at the top of domestic sales for 20 months since it was released in June 2017, and it is also showing results in other countries such as Taiwan.
