LG Display is starting to increase number of customers online by opening online communities and social media channels one after another.
The company said on March 7 that it opened its new YouTube channel "Young D's This Play" (https://www.youtube.com/younglgdisplay) on its YouTube site.
"Young D's This Play" provides not only various display-related information but also LG Display's organizational culture and recruitment information and serves as a communication channel between the younger generation and LG Display.
In particular, the number of users who have accumulated blogs has surpassed 11.7 million, easily explaining their difficult display expertise to the level of their 20s.
Besides blogs, 'Young D's This Play' has been using various social media such as Naver Post and Facebook, and is planning to add YouTube channels to spread latest display technologies such as OLED to young people through videos.
To do this, LG Display has set up 'one minute tech' section that easily describes display technologies for a short period of time. For example, it compresses key contents such as principle and characteristics of OLED panels and delivers them within one minute.
Previously, LG Display opened OLED SPACE, (www.oledspace.com)" in December, which is an online community that specializes in OLEDs that netizens share knowledge and information about OLEDs.
In January, it also released 'LGD AR' app that allows users to place OLED displays in advance at home or office space by utilizing Augmented Reality.
"We are going to use variety of platforms so that customers can feel more vividly about the excellence of OLED technology." said Son Young-joon, executive director of LG Display's public relations department.
