Police investigating Hotel Shilla President Lee Boo-jin's alleged habitual use of drug propofol are conducting a thorough analysis of the confiscated items, believing that the hospital may have manipulated the drug control management books.

"H plastic surgery clinic may have fabricated the relevant books to hide the illegal injection of propofol," the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said on march 26. "We are comparing the data obtained at the hospital in general."

Suspicions were also raised at the hospital fabricated the drug control books. Newstapa, a media outlet specializing in exploring reports, reported that the forensics analysis of the cell phone of the informant who worked at the hospital revealed in the chat room of Kakao Talk that hospital staff manipulated the books.

According to the report, conversations such as "I don't know, the drug books, I don't get the numbers." This can be interpreted as a sign that there is a problem in managing propofol to the point where it is impossible to match the books.

Police are closely analyzing the records under the belief that they may have falsely listed the supply and demand of propofol in the management register or omitted the medication in the medical record books.

In addition, police are analyzing Kakao Talk conversations between informants in the form of imaging files from Newstapa. It also plans to receive the original mobile phone from an informant and examine whether the data is the same.

As soon as they finish analyzing the confiscated materials, the police will call in the head of the hospital and nurses to investigate whether the records were fabricated or illegally administered propofol.

Newstapa reported earlier in an interview with a woman that Lee was suspected of routinely injecting propofol from the H plastic surgery clinic between January and October 2016. Police began an internal investigation to see if propofol management was carried out properly at the hospital.
