40 Korean IT Enterprises Look to Enter the European Market

The Korea ICT Roadshow EU will be held in Germany starting on June 1st, for 2 days. This event is to provide Korean enterprises the opportunity to display their products in Europe and possibly enter the European market. Advancement into the European market looks promising for the 40 Korean IT enterprises who will be partcipating in this roadshow. KOTRA is supervising this event which will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany which will show products and exhibits and provide the partcipating companies 1 on 1 consultations.

 

Korea's participating enterprises will showcase products from multimedia, green IT, security IT, vehicle IT, communications equipment, specific parts and other IT products. There is a diversity amongst the participating companies, with 12 coming from the multimedia area, 8 in the green IT area, 6 enterprises from the security IT area, and 8 enterprises from the LED lighting area. Other areas are filled by other Korean IT companies. Currently, the demand for technology and products that are enrivonment-friendly is large and is increasing as European environment regulations are being reinforced.

 

At this event, there will be about 150 enterprises participating to see and meet the Korean enterprises, including Deutsche Telekom, Bell Micro, Telefunken and Saturn.

 

A researcher from Fawoo Technology, a Korean LED lighting company that will be participating in this event, stated, "This is the 2nd time our company will be attending this roadshow, and our company wants to strengthen our level in the European market. This year, there is a market for LED lighting and we are participating to display our latest products."

 

KOTRA's Jo Byung Hee, the director for the European area, stated, "Korea's IT and the EU market's outlook looks very bright. Also, Korea's and the EU's FTA effect is very important, and we are putting our best efforts to strengthen it."
