Director Park Hyun-jin of KT's 5G Business Headquarters introduces the industry's first 5G data unlimited rate plan.

KT held a press conference at KT Square in central Seoul on April 2 and unveiled four types of 5G plans, including 5G services and super plans, that will change customers' lives.

The company is going to release "KT 5G Superplan", which is the industry's first unlimited 5G data service, on April 5.

"KT 5G Superplan" has three basic, special, and premium models, and all three rate systems provide data without speed control. Also, the biggest feature is the addition of unlimited roaming data benefits in 185 countries around the world so that data can be used freely overseas as well.

The "Superplan Basic" allows unlimited use of 5G data for a monthly fixed amount of 80,000 won (including the VAT below). The "Superplan Special" plan is available at a monthly fixed amount of 100,000 won, with "data completely unlimited." The "Superplan Premium" plan allows unlimited roaming data access at speeds of up to 3Mbps per second overseas.

KT introduced variety of services as a major service area for commercialization of 5G. It has released a video call service called "Narle" app that utilizes 3D and AR technologies. The "Narle" is a video call app that allows users to set their own appearance as desired by utilizing decorating functions such as 3D avatar and AR.

The company also introduced "e-sports live" for 5G subscribers. It is the only e-sports broadcasting app that allows users to view up to five broadcasting screens such as Battlegrounds and StarCrafts at the same time by utilizing the ultra-fast and ultra-low delay characteristics of 5G network.

Streaming music services and VR services have also been upgraded to a new level in the 5G era, providing immersive experiences. GiGA Live TV, which provides ultra-light high-performance VR terminals and contents exclusively, will also be upgraded. When the newly released Giga Live TV app is installed, it is also possible to watch videos of smartphones on Giga Live TV at the same time.

KT, meanwhile, will join hands with Seoul Land in Gwacheon to build the world's first 5G theme park to apply various services such as 5G network, intelligent CCTV GiGAeyes, KT Air Map Korea, 5G real media service, virtual reality and mixed reality rides.
