LG Electronics said it will apply the evolved AI to LG's first 5G smartphone "LG V50 ThinQ 5G" and its recently released premium 4G smartphone "LG G8 ThinQ".
LG Electronics explained that the core of AI services is to provide information and services that are tailored to users more quickly, accurately and safely, as the 5G era marks a time when they send and receive more data dozens of times faster than before.
"LG V50 ThinQ 5G" and "LG G8 ThinQ" are newly equipped with "Customized Intelligent Service" that helps customers find information they want.
Smart Home AI, which connects and controls smart home appliances in the home, has been improved to make it easier and more intuitive to use, while Vision AI and Voice AI, which were first introduced last year, have become faster and more accurate.
Starting with the two smartphones, LG Electronics is planning to apply AI functions that are optimized for product characteristics and specifications to its Smartphones that were released previously.
"Customized Intelligent Service" combines the terms "when", "where" and "what" when searching. Thus, the service is characterized by understanding the context, even though the user does not know the exact name.
It is convenient when users cannot recall the exact name of the information they want to find, or when it is difficult to keep important information separately.
For example, you don't have to rummage hundreds of photos to find a picture of the cheese cake you enjoyed at a coffee shop in Myeong-dong, Seoul, last Christmas. All you have to do is enter the gallery app, tap the magnifying glass icon, and search for "Last Christmas Myeong-dong Cheesecake". Than it shows the photos.
The same applies to text messages. If you don't remember any text or call history that contains important content, you just need to click Search to enter the area or time of use. Previously, smartphones only searched for letters containing the words "gangdonggu" if they were searched as "gangdonggu." But now, the new smartphones even look for text messages and phone calls that users receive when they were in "Gangdonggu."
LG Electronics has been upgraded to make it easier and more convenient to use Living AI, which controls smart home appliances with smartphones.
LG V50 ThinQ 5G and LG G8 ThinQ automatically send messages when connected LG Smart TVs, washing machines and air conditioners are found, and click on them to end all connections.
If linked to smart TVs, the Electronic Program Guide can also be seen on smartphones, which tells what programs are currently airing.
Vision AI, which was first introduced last year, has become faster and more sophisticated. Vision AI is a camera-specific feature that makes it easier to take and enjoy prettier pictures with a smartphone.
The camera automatically recognizes the subject. And since the subject is applied with the quality and composition of the body that can look prettiest, anyone can easily take a nice picture like an expert.
