Samsung SDS said on April 14 that it has signed a business agreement with India's Tech Mahindra to globally spread its corporate blockchain platform Nexledger.
Tech Mahindra, an affiliate of India's Mahindra Group, is a global company that provides IT services to some 900 companies worldwide and has some 120,000 IT professionals.
Through the agreement, Samsung SDS plans to explore blockchain business opportunities in India, the U.S. and Europe in cooperation with Tech Mahindra, and also cooperate in developing technologies to upgrade Nexledger.
Since 2017, Samsung SDS has applied Nexledger to a variety of areas including finance, manufacturing, logistics and the public. Acknowledging such achievements, the global IT research firm Gartner selected Samsung SDS' Nexledger as its flagship vendor in the blockchain platform market last year.
In addition, Samsung SDS unveiled the Nexledger Accelerator at the IBM Think 2019 in February, which is applied to Hyperledger Fabric to improve the transaction processing speed.
"Samsung SDS will help customers achieve blockchain-based digital innovation with its recognized capabilities while carrying out business in various fields," said Hong Hye-jin, head of Samsung SDS Blockchain Center.
