KT has entered the Hall of Fame for the second consecutive year in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), which evaluates companies' environmental management levels.
The Hall of Fame is only open to companies that have been selected as the top five companies for the fifth consecutive years. KT has entered the Hall of Fame for the first two years in a row.
The CDP is a global non-profit organization that evaluates and provides major environmental information of companies to financial and investment institutions around the world. At the same time, it is one of the most reliable indices to assess companies' level of response to climate change under the name of the evaluation index.
The evaluation was conducted by the Korean commission of CDP on the top 200 companies by market capitalization in Korea and selected excellent companies such as KT.
In the CDP evaluation, KT received high marks in all areas, including strategy to cope with climate change, efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, management of greenhouse gases and the promotion of new projects, earning its entry into the Hall of Fame for the second year in a row.
In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, KT Group has not only introduced high-efficiency network equipment, but also established real-time greenhouse gas monitoring systems at its offices across the country, and continues to replace work vehicles with electric vehicles.
It also contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by customers and business partners in various industries, centering on KT-MEG, KT's smart energy platform.
