POSCO will continue attacking the global energy steel market by participating in the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), the world's largest maritime technology fair, for the 12th consecutive year.
OTC, which runs from May 6-9 in Houston, Texas, is a venue for more than 2,000 companies from around the world to participate and more than 60,000 visitors each year to learn the latest trends in the industry and find new customers.
POSCO will set up an exhibition booth at the OTC Main Hall with clients of marine materials and expand the scope of "Business with POSCO" that creates value with customers by holding a customer-invited seminar for the first time since participating in the OTC on May 8.
Under the theme of "Premium Steel and Solution for Energy Industry," POSCO invited engineers and managers from major energy and engineering companies to the seminar in order to share their opinions on POSCO's World Top Premium (WTP) products and technological capabilities that can contribute to strengthening competitiveness of customers.
POSCO expects such high-value-added products such as high manganese steel for cryogenic use and wind power molten steel to attract customers' keen interest.
High manganese steel for cryogenic use received an international standard approval from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in December and LNG use, a global source of eco-friendly energy, is expected to increase thanks to strong demand in LNG carriers and propulsion fields.
