Com2us is planning to make improvements in its second-quarter performance based on increased users of its flagship "Summoners War" and increased sales of baseball games.

On May 10, Com2us announced that it made $17.7 billion won in sales, 30.2 billion won in operating profit and 30.5 billion won in net profit in the first quarter. Compared with the same period of last year, sales, operating profit, and net profit fell 5.5%, 23.5%, and 16.6%.

However, its overseas sales reached 87.5 billion won, achieving 80 percent of its overseas sales for the 17th consecutive quarter.

"From the 5th anniversary of Summoners War, Com2us will increase sales by expanding its users," said Lee Yong-kook, vice president of Com2us. "Com2us will also increase sales of baseball games by holding various e-sports events."

Com2us plans to launch a campaign to get global dormant users to return, run YouTube channels and host e-sports events after it conducts an update on Summoners War in June. It will also prepare for an e-sports event in August to mark the professional baseball season to boost sales of baseball games.

Com2us acquired story game company "Day7" and RPG developer "Manacore soft" and "Nova Factory" in the first quarter.

"The companies that Com2us acquired are those that recorded 10 billion won in annual sales last year, and Com2us is preparing for global publishing of these games," said Lee. "I think these companies' performance will be reflected in their second-quarter sales."

Com2us is also planning to expand its market to target female users by applying RPG under the theme of fashion or love.

"Skylanders", which launched in 120 Western countries in the first quarter, plans to carry out large-scale updates in the second quarter and expand its service areas to all parts of Asia.

Com2us will feature new games based on Summoners War IP, "Summoners War: The Hundred Year's War," "Summoners War MMORPG," "Heros War 2" and "Birdie Crush." The launch schedules for the Summoners War and the Summoners War MMORPG have not been fixed.
