Tom Song, vice president of Oracle Korea, was newly appointed to CEO. According to the IT industry on May 22, Oracle appointed Tom Song, vice president of the key account sales department, as its CEO. Song has been acting president since March.
Tom Song majored in electrical engineering at the University of Illinois and completed an MBA program at Northwestern University.
He has worked for IBM for about 30 years, serving as the head of the U.S.-based BI solutions sales business, director of BI solution sales in the central U.S., executive director of IBM Korea's financial business division, executive director of Allstate, and executive director of the customer division of IBM's financial business headquarters. He joined Oracle Korea in September 2017.
