The SC Bank Korea branch of the financial union will block the management's performance pressure on its members and focus its efforts on job security.
The branch held a regular general meeting at the main auditorium of SC Bank Korea in Seoul on June 11 and said, "It will create a year of establishing principles and achieving unity."
The 25th executive branch, including Chairman Kim Dong-soo, was launched a year ago. After taking office, Kim had a one-on-one meeting with members of the union while going around the division.
"We found out that overtime pay was unpaid at individual meetings of the union members and improved the reality by reporting it to the management. We were able to find out what the employees' grievances were through one-on-one meetings," the branch said.
"The reason why the bank's performance is so low despite the management's daily harassment of its members with performance pressures stems from its complicated processes, policies and management failure to present long-term visions," Kim said, adding "Harassing employees to generate short-term profits is no longer an alternative."
