Hong Won-pyo, CEO of Samsung SDS, greets at the blockchain Media Day held at Samsung SDS Campus on June 18.

On June 18, Samsung SDS introduced the concerns of companies introducing blockchain and announced the direction of the blockchain business, which includes ways to resolve the problem.

"Companies that apply blockchain technology to their businesses have problems such as creating convergence services among different industries, connecting blockchain based on different technologies, and applying and expanding blockchain easily and quickly." said CEO Hong Won-pyo of Samsung SDS at Samsung SDS Tower in Seoul on June 18.

Samsung SDS unveiled the "blockchain 3C" strategy of Convergence, Connectivity and Cloud based on 110 domestic and foreign companies' application cases and 51 patents at home and abroad.

The company will introduce convergence between healthcare and the financial sector. In late August, Samsung SDS will introduce a blockchain-based "automatic insurance claim service" built by a consortium with medical institutions, insurance companies and digital healthcare professionals.

Hong Hye-jin, executive vice president of Samsung SDS' blockchain center, explains the direction of the blockchain business at the blockchain Media Day held at Samsung SDS Campus on June 18.

More than 10 medical institutions such as Samsung Hospital, Hallym University Sungsim Hospital and Ewha Women's University Medical Center, as well as companies specializing in digital healthcare, will be provided with insurance claims services through the Samsung SDS Nexregor blockchain platform.

In addition, Samsung SDS introduced a project to exchange air cargo trade information between Tianjin Airport in China and Incheon International Airport with a system that connects the country-specific blockchain network.

It is a method that connects Tianjin Airport's air cargo blockchain platform, which was established by Chinese IT company OneConnect, with customs clearance logistics services at Incheon International Airport developed by Samsung SDS.

Samsung SDS plans to use it as a Korea-China blockchain-based trade network standard in the future.
