Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction said on July 4 that it has signed a strategic business partnership agreement on construction projects with "EEI," a local builder, at the Philamlife Life Tower in Manila, the Philippines.
EEI is the largest comprehensive construction company in the Philippines established in 1931. It has carried out various infrastructure works, including a number of power plants, highways and ports, in addition to Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Mactan Cebu International Airport and Manila's Light Rail Line 3.
Hanjin Heavy Industries has successfully carried out more than 100 projects in the past 45 years since it became the first Korean company to enter the Philippines in 1973.
It has built its status in the region with various performances, active localization strategies and long-standing ties in infrastructure areas with strengths such as Manila's Light Rail Line 2, Manila's Northern Port, Davao International Airport and Laguindingan International Airport.
Hanjin Heavy Industries said that it is ranking first in construction performance among overseas construction companies that have entered the Philippines.
The strategic business partnership with Hanjin Heavy, a foreign company trusted in the Philippines construction sector, and EEI, which boasts a long history, will be a good opportunity to share the experience and know-how of the two companies," a Hanjin Heavy official said.
