Asiana Airlines has launched new flights three times (Tuesday, Thursday , Saturday) a week to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the city of Genghis Khan, a company spokesman said on July 9.

Asiana Airlines held a ceremony to launch a new Incheon-Ulaanbaatar route at the Incheon International Airport's first passenger terminal on July 9 with Asiana Airlines President Han Chang-soo and other executives and employees attending.

It will deploy a 290-seat A330 aircraft to help passengers travel comfortably. Ulaanbaatar, which means "Red Hero," is the capital of Mongolia and the center of politics, economy and culture and a metropolitan city with about 45 percent of the population.

If you can see the current look of the Genghis Khan decendants in Ulaanbaatar, you can experience past nomadic life firsthand at "Terelj National Park," located 70 kilometers northeast of Ulaanbaatar.

Designated as a UNESCO Natural Cultural Heritage, Terelj National Park is a tourist site, surrounded by numerous rocks, green grasslands and wild flowers, where visitors can relax with nature, including trekking, horseback riding and fishing, and experience nomadic people by eating traditional food.
