Kyungki-Do, Korea, June 8, 2010-Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ: LRCX), a major supplier of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment and services, today announced that capacity for manufacturing its products in Korea has doubled due to completion of its Korean suppliers' business expansions this past year.
Supplier Charm Engineering Co., Ltd. (formally known as Charm & Ci) has moved to a larger nearly 250,000 sq. ft. facility in Osan, Korea to expand capacity for Lam's growing new systems business. Lam Research supplier EDD, Ltd. recently opened its new greater than 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Cheonan, Korea to accommodate increasing demand for Lam's system upgrades.
Approximately40 percent of these new facilities' capacity is devoted to the manufacture of Lam Research products.
