Galaxy Fold, which is a foldable Smartphone, will be released in September.
Samsung Electronics said on July 25 that it will release Galaxy Fold in September after reinforcing its design and undergoing rigorous testing.
Samsung Electronics said it has extended the top screen protection of Infinity Flex displays, which have little border, to cover the entire screen and the base of the bezel, to make the screen appear to be a part of the display and cannot be removed arbitrarily.
The problem occurred in the U.S. in April when it removed protective film from mobile phones when it was released.
Samsung Electronics has newly applied protective caps at the top and bottom of Galaxy Fold's hinge to strengthen durability. It also added a new metal layer to the back of Galaxy Fold's Infinity Flex display to better protect the display. It also minimized gaps between hinge structures of products and main body of Galaxy folds in front and back.
Samsung Electronics is currently testing its final products and is planning to release them sequentially in global markets starting in September. The Galaxy Fold offers the largest 7.3-type expanded display among Galaxy smartphones when expanded, and 4.6-type displays that can be used comfortably with one hand when folded.
