Hanwha Life Insurance held the 19th Hanwha Life Insurance World Children's Baduk championship at the Grand Ballroom of the 63 Building in Seoul on July 25.
A total of 272 children from nine countries, including South Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia and Ukraine, gathered in one place to stage a runoff.
There was tension among the qualified athletes from 25 regions across the country, as more than 9,000 people participated in the preliminary round.
The winner of the baduk division, which was contested by the top brass, was given a 10 million won scholarship along with a baduk plaque. The total amount of scholarships paid to winners in each category also reached 27.5 million won.
Hanwha Life has also prepared various events for athletes and their families to enjoy. Polaroid photo zones were installed so families could make memories. It also provided time for visitors to enjoy together through dart games and maze games.
Digital caricature event, which expresses faces tactfully, were very popular among children athletes. The participants enjoyed the caricature that resembled them.
