Korea Smart Human Technology Association (KOSHUMA, Chairman Bae Young-hoon, CEO of IVS) held its first smart human technology policy forum on July 24 at the building of Barun, a law firm located in Samseong-dong, Seoul with about 100 officials from public, academic, IT and smart human technology companies attending. It was followed by business agreement ceremonies to revitalize the smart human technology industry.

KOSHUMA Chairman Bae, who was a major speaker of the policy forum, announced the "National Smart City Policy" and "National Smart City Export Strategy" in a comprehensive manner, while holding discussions on "How to Participate in the Smart Human City Market and Strategies to Advance Overseas Markets."

During the presentation and discussion, Chairman Bae stressed, "The smart city market, which is an important agenda of national policy, will continue to expand, and efforts to integrate products of the competitive small and medium-sized enterprises with major technologies of smart city, and securing of smart city technologies that can be useful to citizens will become a great foundation for the advancement of Korea’s excellent technologies into the world, and will also play a big role in national growth and job creation during the fourth industrial revolution."

In addition, a senior official of the Guro-gu Office announced the importance of the Seoul Metropolitan Government-propelling smart city project and introduced the successful case of Guro-gu and its improvements at the forum.

In the following signing ceremony, KOSHUMA Chairman Bae and Korea IT Times CEO Lee Kap-soo inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and agreed to co-organize domestic and overseas forums for the promotion and support of smart human technology industries, and to cooperate closely in press and public relations activities by the association and its member companies. Korea IT Times is a media outlet specialized in overseas public relations activities.

In addition, both the association and the Sejong Campus (Vice President Kim Ki-soo) of Hongik University agreed to actively cooperate in leading projects for campus innovation park and support programs for startups related to technologies based on the fourth industrial revolution and to mutually cooperate for the development of smart human technology industries.

KOSHUMA was established in April with the participation of about 180 smart city technology companies to develop smart human products, ideas and contents, rather than technology, and further foster the human tech industries. It was approved by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups on July 15.

The association plans to continue to hold a policy forum on smart human technology to revitalize the smart human technology industry.
