Mando, which specializes in automotive parts, is expanding its strategic partner relationship with local carmakers as it is recognized for its best quality in India's fast-growing auto market.
Mando won the Quality Excellence Award at the 'TATA Motors Annual Supplier Conference 2019' held in Rome, Italy, on Aug. 9.
The award is significant in that Mando's quality and technological prowess have been highly valued in the Indian market. Mando started trading with TTA Motors by supplying brake products in 2014.
Tata Motors delivered its satisfaction with the flawless quality of its brake system such as calipers and master boosters and the EPS (Electric Power Steering) that have been successfully mass-produced by Mando.
"Since Mando entered India, we have been working hard with all our employees to meet the local market environment," said Oh Se-joon, head of Mando corporation in India. "We are pleased that Mando has been recognized as a true partner in the Indian market."
Mando also solidified its presence in India's auto market by winning the Steering Top Partner and Top Developer Award at the Mahindra & Mahindra "Supplier Meet" event in Berlin, Germany, on June 12.
"As a result of focusing on research and development for quality products under the motto of 'quality first,' Indian carmakers have approved the excellence of Mando products," a Mando official said. "We will expand our business area in the Indian market by providing the best quality for our customers' safety and convenience in the future."
Mando India has built a stable portfolio of customers in the Indian auto market that leads to global carmakers such as Hyundai-Kia Motors, Ford and local companies such as Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra. Based on this, Mando India's annual sales of 500 billion won are expected to grow at a high rate of more than 15 percent annually in the future.
