Shinhan Bank said on Sept. 6 that it has released "Shinhan SOL Indonesia," a digital banking platform of Bank Shinhan Indonesia.
Shinhan Soul Indonesia is the second overseas version of the mobile-integrated platform SOL which reached 10 million customers in just one and a half years since its launch. Since its launch in November last year, the first overseas version of "Shinhan SOL Vietnam" has been receiving positive responses from the market and steadily increasing its subscribers.
"Shinhan SOL Indonesia" was optimized to provide the best user experience for local customers, taking into account the culture and environment of the country concerned.
Considering the mobile network speed, which is significantly slower than other Southeast Asian countries due to the country's conditions, it has applied a technology that shows signal strength on apps and speeds up app operation and transactions. In addition, the replacement of OTP cards with smartphone-style m-OTP reduced the hassle of carrying a physical card.
It is also expected that “Widget Transfer” function, which allows users to trade functions that they use frequently with just click on an icon, will respond well. You can register the tasks such as checking accounts, paying utility bills, and transferring foreign currency as widget.
It is also characterized by enhancing aesthetic sensibility from a local perspective through the use of the minimal concept's SOL character.
"With the SOL launch, Bank Shinhan Indonesia has secured digital competitiveness in its fourth year, which is comparable to that of major local banks," said Hwang Dae-kyu, head of Shinhan Indonesia's corporate division.
