Sales of Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Note 10 series in South Korea surpassed 1 million units. Samsung Electronics said on Sept. 23 that sales of the Galaxy Note 10 series, which was released on Aug. 23, surpassed the 1 million mark as of July 16.

It is twice faster than its predecessor Galaxy Note 9 with a record of 25 days since its launch.

For the first time, Samsung Electronics released the 6.3-inch model Galaxy Note 10 and 6.8-inch model Galaxy Note 10+, which were slightly reduced in size.

According to Samsung Electronics' tally, the portion of sales of the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10+ stood at 37 percent and 63 percent, respectively.

Percentage of female customers increased by 10% compared to previous models due to release of Galaxy Note 10 that has 6.3-inch display. Although Galaxy Note series was a pronoun on a large screen, it was criticized for being a bit big for women to carry around.

Differentiated colors and designs also stimulated young people's desire to buy them. SK Telecom will be allowed to choose its own colors for each carrier, such as blue and KT will be red. Samsung Electronics said its portion of customers in their 20s increased 5 percent from the previous year to 20 percent.
