Consortium with Jinju City to build smart intelligence information industrial complex with AI, IoT technology

IVS has been selected for a public offering for the 2019 supplementary budget for national infrastructure intelligence information project, which was ordered from the National Information Society Agency (NIA) in August, by forming a consortium with Jinju City, Pacific Solution, Next K and You Can Star, an IVS spokesman said on Oct. 25.

The national infrastructure intelligence information project refers to the development and demonstration of technologies and services to enhance national competitiveness and foster the intelligence information industry by applying intelligence information technology to the country's major infrastructure (SOC, environment, transportation, safety, energy, etc.).

On Oct. 24, the Jinju City held a briefing session on launching the "national infrastructure Intelligence Information project" at the city hall, attended by officials from the Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Communication and the NIA.

As Jinju City was selected after proposing the 'Smart Intelligence Information Industrial Complex with IoT and AI technologies' in this project, it will secure 1.4 billion won in business cost and create an intelligent information service base management system in Sangpyeong Industrial Complex and Jeongchon Industrial Complex, the largest and most aging of the nine industrial complexes in Jinju City.

The goal is to establish an industrial complex operation management system for tenant businesses, workers and citizens in industrial complexes so that they can recognize and immediately respond to various risk factors that can occur within the industrial complex, such as risk perception and prediction, explosion accident, fire accident, facility damage, air environment, fine dust measurement, and life prevention before an accident occurs.

"With this project to build a smart industrial complex, IVS is expected to successfully transform itself into an AI-based big data company in name and reality," IVS CEO Bae Young-hoon said. "We will work closely with participating companies and build it based on the know-how and capabilities accumulated through various projects to drive the success of the business."
