Samsung Engineering made an announcement on Oct. 25 that it has received a preliminary order from the owner of a chemical plant construction project worth 1.9 trillion won (total contract amount of 4.3 trillion won) that is being carried out in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.
"The project that is jointly carried out with other companies will be finalized after final approval," said a company official, adding, "We will disclose the place of order, project name, and detailed execution area when we sign a formal contract with the owner under the secret agreement."
