Mirae Asset Daewoo said on Nov. 1 that it has established an organization to provide overseas stock sales services to foreign investors.
The newly established body, One Asia Equity Sales, will integrate Mirae Asset Daewoo's overseas subsidiary brokerage desks to quickly provide sales services for stocks and ETF investment products in China, Vietnam, India and Indonesia around Hong Kong.
An official of Mirae Asset Daewoo said, "We plan to strengthen its global business by expanding its brokerage services for overseas investors, which were centered on the existing Korean market, into the global market."
In addition, Mirae Asset Daewoo also carried out personnel appointments for representatives of local subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Indonesia and Los Angeles in the U.S.
Kim Shin was appointed as the head of One Asia Equity Sales and concurrently chief of the global market headquarters.
Choi Bo-seong was named the head of Hong Kong desk of One Asia Equity Sales. Meanwhile, the company appointed Kim Sang-joon as the head of the Hong Kong-based corporation.
