Companies, educational institutions and military units have gathered in one place for the youth career exploration class "TLC Ten school."
Taejeon Group (vice chairman Oh Young-seok) said it conducted "TLC Teen School" on Nov. 1 at Seoul Robot High School, a public school under the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.
Taejeon Group, which has continued close coordination with the Army's 52nd Infantry Division for a month for classes, conducted the training with the cooperation of its units so that vocational soldiers and students can continue to communicate and get advice on job activities.
During the class, Captain Kim Ho-seung of the Army's 52nd Infantry Division (chief of the unit, Jeong Cheol-jae), and Second lieutenant Jeong Mi-kyoung served as special lecturers.
Captain Kim Ho-seung and Second lieutenant Jeong Mi-kyung, who took charge of the special lectures, introduced the service system, application procedures and work to students at Seoul Robot High School and expressed their feelings as incumbent career soldiers.
On-site lectures featuring realistic themes and vivid experiences of young soldiers in their 20s, rather than career education centered on video materials, have particularly raised the level of satisfaction among students.
The students, who had developed a close relationship by talking to Captain Kim Ho-seung and Jeong Mi-kyung through SNS in advance, showed enthusiasm to actively participate in the class by pouring questions necessary for career exploration during the free interviews that followed after the lecture.
"We have learned anew that military executives engage in a variety of activities in various areas," said Choi Ho-in, a sophomore at Seoul Robot High School. "It was a great help because we could hear about the job preparation process and vivid experiences after getting a job."
"From the perspective of high school students, I think I felt a greater sympathy for the incumbent soldier's lecture because it is difficult to find the necessary credentials or information on the actual working environment to become a career soldier," said Oh Young-seok, vice chairman of Taejeon Group. "I will maintain my SNS communication channel so that I can continue mentoring students even after the education is over."
The "TLC teen school," a mentoring program for youth people with Taejeon Group affiliates such as TAEJEON Pharm, TJ Pharm, O&K, AOK and TJHC, will run until December.
