KB Kookmin Bank President Huh In has been confirmed to serve a second term. According to KB Kookmin Bank on Nov. 8, KB Kookmin Bank held a shareholders' meeting at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul the previous day and approved the reappointment of the bank president Huh In as head of the bank.
The KB Kookmin Bank's presidential nomination committee earlier recommended Huh as the final candidate for the bank's chief and confirmed him as the bank's next chief after a shareholders' meeting's resolution. The term of office is until Nov. 20, 2020.
KB Kookmin Bank held three rounds of the bank's presidential candidate recommendation committee to closely examine what it needs to do as the head of the bank, including the qualifications, leadership and future vision of candidates.
In particular, through interviews with the candidate, in-depth inquiries were conducted in various fields, including management performance, management philosophy, and mid- to long-term management strategy execution skills.
"The candidate has successfully led KB Kookmin Bank over the past two years and has been recognized for his outstanding capabilities by evenly growing its soundness and profitability despite the difficult business environment," said KB Kookmin Bank's presidential candidate recommendation committee.
"In particular, he led real innovation in revealing KB's future by quickly converting its organization to 'digital KB' and entering the telecommunication business for the first time in the financial sector through MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) business," it said.
