Com2uS global hit "Summoners War: Sky Arena" surpassed 2 trillion won in accumulated global sales and proved the potential of pure mobile game IP (Intellectual Property Rights).
According to the company on Nov. 13, "Summoner's War," which has been enjoying steady global popularity since its launch in April 2014, has achieved results of "Korea's single mobile game IP 2 trillion won in sales" after five years and seven months of service.
Sommoners War, which made a new Korean game history by posting 1 trillion won in sales for the first time in Korea in March 2017, achieved an additional 1 trillion won in sales in two years and eight months, three months shorter than that.
Analysts say the company has again confirmed the explosive global influence of mobile games and the life cycle and sustainable growth that are comparable to other platform games such as PC online and console.
In particular, more than 90 percent of Sommoners War’s cumulative sales came from abroad, enjoying a great success in the world market.
Since its launch, users from a total of 234 countries have enjoyed "Sommoners War," and evenly spread across the continent, including 55 in the Americas, 51 in Europe, 51 in Asia, 54 in Africa and 21 in Oceania.
"This shows the economic ripple effect of mobile games, which are cultural industry contents, in the global market," a company official said, adding, "Sommoners War is constantly gaining popularity around the world for more than five years, and its global value will grow even more."
