SK Broadband said on Nov. 18 that it will launch a "DDoS Clean Zone-built service" that will detect and effectively defend the growing number of DDoS attacks in real time.
DDoS Clean Zone is the first security service in Korea to build equipment within customer sites, which is difficult to predict and can protect assets faster and safer from various forms of DDoS attacks.
By combining Cloud Signaling technology that protects traffic by linking and bypassing traffic with SK Broadband's large-capacity DDoS clean zone in case of an external hacker attack, it is also able to prevent overload of equipment and disable large-scale DDoS attacks (up to 320G).
In addition, maintenance and control services can be performed 24 hours a day by security professionals to detect, respond and defend against DDoS attacks in real time.
Previously, SK Broadband has expanded its line-up of DDoS defense products including 'DDoS Clean Zone Service' that protects DDoS attacks through its backbone network and allows customers to selectively use services depending on network environment and internal situation.
"We can effectively defend against the threat of large-capacity hacker attacks and will continue to protect customer information and enhance the stability of next-generation networks by increasing our security technology responsiveness in the future," said Park Chan-woong, head of Infra division in charge of technology development.
