Kumho Tire laughed together during Tottenham Son Heung-min's "Wonder Goal." When Son scored a goal in the 16th round of the English Premier League (EPL) match against Burnley in the 2019-2020 season on Dec. 8, Kumho Tire was exposed on the billboard of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Son grabbed the ball near his own camp's penalty area in the 32nd minute and dribbled past eight players of the opposing team to score a goal. During the 11-second dribble, Son's top speed reached 33.41 kilometers per hour.
The BBC listed the goal of Son on the best 11 in the round of 16 of the 2019-2020 English Premier League.
Kumho Tire was advertised on the main billboard of the stadium as soon as Son scored a goal. Kumho Tire is exposed together whenever the media report on Son's goal.
The video of Tottenham's goal posted on YouTube alone exceeded 2 million views per day. Kumho Tire was also exposed to the billboard when Son dribbled 50 meters to score against Chelsea in November last year. Son's goal against Chelsea was considered as the "best goal" by Tottenham's fan club last season.
Kumho Tire has been working as an official global partner for Tottenham since 2016. It also signed sponsorship deals with Bayer 04 Leverkusen, a prestigious German football club, and FK Mlada Boleslav, a prestigious Czech football club, as a global official tire partner.
It also supported the production of the popular TV program TVN "Sonsational" and the SPOTV real documentary program "Kick it" using the sponsorship authority of Tottenham Hotspur.
Kumho Tire won the grand prize at the fifth Sports Marketing Awards 2019 held in Seoul on Dec. 5 for its promotional activities.
