Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) announced on Dec. 26 that it has recently won a total of 800 billion won worth of construction projects, including the construction of the North-South Highway (N113·N115 section) in Singapore and the Vietnam Vega City Complex Development Project.
The Singapore North-South expressway project, which Hyundai won alone, is a project to build an elevated 4.5-kilometer-long bridge and an entry and exit ramp in the Sembawang area of northern Singapore. The construction period will be 84 months after the start of construction and will be completed in November 2026.
The construction of the North-South N113 highway is worth 254.9 billion won (217.3 million dollars) to build a new high-rise bridge that includes two entry and exit ramps, and to expand and improve the existing road on the lower section.
The North-South N115 highway construction project is worth 254.5 billion won (217 million dollars) to build 1.9 kilometers of new high-rise bridges that include 0.7 kilometers of four ramps and expand and improve existing roads.
Since entering Singapore in 1981, Hyundai E&C has won a total of 89 projects worth $14.8 billion, including the Pasir Panjang Terminal 3 & 4 construction, Marina South Complex Development Corporation, and is currently carrying out a total of seven civil engineering projects, worth $1.4 billion.
The Vietnam "Vega City Complex Development Project," worth about 300 billion won (250 million dollars), is a property development corporation project that will create a luxury hotel and villa complex with one basement to 30 floors on 102,000 pyeong of land in the Vietnamese resort city of Natrang.
The construction period is 29 months after the start of construction for completion in June 2022, with private sales planned to take place during the construction process.
