LG Electronics is joining hands with Element AI, a Canadian AI software solution company, to create new standards for artificial intelligence.
LG Electronics and Element AI will hold a business agreement ceremony in Las Vegas on Jan. 5 (local time) with LG Electronics Chief Technology Officer Park Il-pyeong and AI CEO Jean-Francois Gagne attending.
Element AI is an AI startup established by CEO Jean-Francois Gagne and Professor Yoshua Bengio of Montreal University in Canada, a world-renowned scholar in deep learning. It is leading the development of AI solutions that can be used in financial, distribution and electronics industries.
LG Electronics and Element AI plan to develop various technologies that can be applied to products and services by conducting joint research for systematic development of AI.
The two companies agreed on the need for a standard to act as a compass to further develop AI, which has been talked about in numerous fields recently, and thus have come to work together.
It is also determined to speed up the development of AI technologies to apply them to customers’ lives faster and give greater value to customers and society through them.
