LG Uplus Vice Chairman Ha Hyun-hoi visited CES 2020 in Las Vegas to explore new business models in convergence between ultra-low-latency, ultra-connecting 5G network and AI, AR and autonomic mobility.

LG Uplus announced that Vice Chairman Ha visited Samsung Electronics, Panasonic, and Google booths on January 7 (local time) after visiting LG Electronics booth and checked the technology status of AI-based integrated solution and future development.

The first LG Electronics booth to visit on the day showed interest in AI-based guidance, serving robots, cooking and barista robots, and customized AI services in public places such as virtual clothing fitting solutions.

"AI-based consumer electronics devices and mobility will play a role in greatly changing customers’ everyday lives," Ha said. "In addition, securing technology that can take care of customers’ emotions will soon be directly related to their competitiveness."

Ha then visited Google booth and experienced a "helpful home," which is constantly connected to home, car and smartphone through Google Assistant.

LG Uplus’ competitiveness with more than 1 million home IoT subscribers and collaboration with Google, which implements smart home life, will have great synergy that can provide differentiated smart home services to customers, Ha said in a meeting with Google’s APAC Assistant Distribution Lead Clare Wu.

Ha then visited Intel, Hyundai Motor and Hyundai Mobis, which are the main keywords for CES 2020 and experienced the current status of technology and services and platforms.

Mobileye Booth, which has grown from a component company to a self-driving solution provider, looked at the current status of self-driving solution product (ADAS) development and mapping technology.

In addition, Hyundai Mobis’ booth focused on self-regulation and development of mobility solutions, focusing on devices such as mobility concept cars, PAVs and Robot taxis.

On January 8 (U.S. time), Ha will look at "100-inch conversation" in the AR glass field of Neural, which was introduced in Korea last year, "360-degree AR contents," "AR shopping," which allows users to see and purchase bags or clothes worn by models, and "AR games."
