On January 29, Harex InfoTech Inc.(Park, Kyung Yang, CEO), UBpay (User Centric Mobile Payment Shared Platform) Service Provider, announces agreement to share UBpay to empower the app run by EASTAR Air, the nation’s low-cost carrier.

EASTAR Air, by including UB platform in its app, can now offer various customized payment services for travel, dining, rental car, taxi as well as an airline ticket reservation.EASTAR Air will also gain the ability to expand its user base at home and abroad to users of an allied company's service apps and institutions that use the UB shared platform. Harex InfoTech benefits with the opportunity to expand their service area based on the EASTAR Air clients.

UBpay is the user centric mobile payment service where the user directly requests payment authorization from the financial institutions like banks or card companies with no middleman, so it guarantees the user maximized benefits, the best possible security and much lower transaction costs. Once users register their payment tenders such as credit, debit, pre-paid cards, etc. in any app powered by UB only one time, users can freely select and use them in all apps that share the UB platform. Moreover, customer rewards such as loyalty points, discount coupons, gift certificates, and tips and donations are processed with the payment all in one interaction, maximizing user’s benefits and drastically reducing payment time. This makes it very convenient for users to manage all their transaction records such as inquiry, payment and loyalty point management.

Jang, Yunmi, the manager of EASTAR Air, states, “… it means a lot for us to be able to offer such convenient and extensive services to our clients through our app under the EASTAR brand.” She stresses that EASTAR Air would continuously introduce more of these types of beneficial services based on the collaboration with Harex InfoTech. Now all clients using EASTAR Air app can not only use EASTAR Air mobile payment service at over 320,000 affiliated stores in Korea but even enjoy various online to brick-and-mortar services.

EASTAR Air app and all other apps that share the UB platform(which is free) can offer mobile payment services with their own brands. Any apps (like EASTAR Air app) powered by UB are automatically connected to a user centric shared network and can share the user centric network. By utilizing the user centric shared network, EASTAR Air can offer more competitive customer services and collaborated marketing with other service apps powered by UB to maximize benefits to their users.

UBpay is currently accepted at over 320,000 affiliated merchants including small mom and pop stores nationwide in collaboration with Zero pay, sponsored by the S. Korean government. Harex InfoTech Inc., based on the know-how from sharing the UBpay platform with various alliance partners with their own app services like banks, retailers, franchises, hospitals, is currently expanding the platform abroad into Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Guatemala and 6 Central American countries, Africa, U.S., China and India.
