Doosan Bobcat said on Jan. 29 that its remote-controlled technology "Max Control" won the "2019 Innovative Product Awards" organized by the Rental Equipment Register, a North American rental industry magazine.
The Innovation Product Awards is an award that selects and awards the most innovative products that have been released in a year in construction and landscape. The Gold Award-winning Doosan Bobcat's Max Control technology is the first new technology in the construction industry to remotely operate a product via an iOS-based iPhone or iPad. It was introduced at the CES 2020 event in Las Vegas recently.
Max Control’s major features are its high product compatibility and convenience. Customers can apply this feature to all loader products released since 2004 through mobile applications if they install the Selectable Joystick Controls device without having to purchase additional equipment.
Remote control can be operated within a radius of up to 450 meters and functions can be switched on and off by mobile phones as needed.
"Max Control technology greatly reduces the risk of rough terrain work and can handle multiple equipment by itself, which greatly improves the efficiency of the operation," said a Doosan Bobcat official. "We are planning to introduce an upgraded version with additional features such as a front camera within this year."
Doosan Bobcat is speeding up its digital conversion process by introducing its AR-applied work support program and "Features on Demand," a customized customer support program that utilizes portable devices, at CES 2020.
