Schneider Electric Systems Korea said on Feb. 3 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen the safety of petrochemical processes with SK Energy.
Through the agreement, Schneider Electric was selected as the sole supplier in South Korea to SK Energy, which provides safety instrumentation system _ Triconex tripleization safety PLC system and a Turbomachinery comprehensive solution.
This will allow SK Energy to establish a Schneider Electric process safety-enhancing system at its petrochemical plant in Ulsan to secure higher safety and productivity.
Under the partnership, the two companies will strengthen their long-term partnership to achieve the specific value added and business results involved.
Schneider Electric is a supplier of Safety Instrumentation Systems (SIS) that has the largest global market share. Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Triconex Safety is applied to other high-risk industries such as oil and gas, oil refining, petrochemicals and power generation to help enhance safety, cybersecurity, risk mitigation and operational continuity.
Because it meets strict requirements, it is adopted and utilized by large oil and gas companies in the top 20 countries in the world.
