The A350-900, introduced by Asiana Airlines (President Han Chang-soo) from 2017, has become a flagship airplane for long-distance routes.

Asiana Airlines introduced its A350 11 aircraft on Feb. 4. As a result, Asiana Airlines’ A350 has become a long-distance flagship, being deployed on four routes to the U.S. - New York, LA, San Francisco and Seattle, and routes to London, Paris and Lisbon in Europe.

In addition, the aircraft is also operating in Southeast Asia and Japan, including routes to Singapore, Zakarta and Tokyo (Narita).

Asiana Airlines has introduced the A350 since 2017 in a bid to strengthen its position as a long-distance network carrier centered on profitability. This year, it will introduce a total of three A350s, including the No. 11.

In line with the introduction of new aircraft, the company is exploring long-distance routes. Asiana Airlines pioneered irregular flights on new long-haul routes, including Cairo, Egypt, Melbourne in Australia and Lisbon in Portugal in December 2019, and has continued to strengthen its long-haul routes by extending the New York route twice a day.

Meanwhile, the A350 is 25 percent more fuel efficient and provides the first in-flight Wi-Fi service in Korea.

As likewise other aircraft, the A350 also circulates air through a high-performance air-filtration device (HEPA filter), so it has the advantage that the epidemic does not spread on board.
