SK Telecom will provide free NUGU MindView, an AI speaker dedicated meditation service called NUGU, starting March 19 for people who are participating in "social distancing."

While 'NUGU MindView' was originally planned as part of SK Telecom's "Mindfulness" program for the happiness of its in-house members, it recently completed the development of the service to all ordinary customers in the face of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

SK Telecom expects the "NUGU MindView" service to be helpful amid an atmosphere in which the government, local governments and medical organizations strengthen support for psychological treatment as more people feel anxious and stressed by the COVID-19 spread.

Some AI speakers have strengths in non-face sensitive services. Since last year, the company has provided various care services for the elderly, such as emergency calls and anti-dementia services, showing the possibility of realizing the social value of artificial intelligence services.

NUGU monthly users reach about 7 million. A total of 41 kinds of meditation content will be provided free of charge. It consists of two types of morning and evening meditation, 20 types of breathing meditation and 11 types of self-love meditation.

When a user speaks to the AI speaker NUGU and says, "Aria, let me hear healing meditation on 'NUGU MindView'." "Aria, let me hear five minutes of meditation on NUGU Mindfulness," NUGU automatically recommends five to 15 minutes of meditation content by category or time.

The "NUGU MindView" also includes eight kinds of meditation content related to COVID-19. The content will be provided free of charge not only at the Seoul Medical Center but also at individual QR codes being distributed by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to ensure the psychological stability of COVID-19 confirmed and self-isolated.
