KT announced on March 23 that it has significantly strengthened its realistic content lineup, including three immersive English education content and VR remote meeting services, on its virtual reality (VR) service, "Super VR."

The company offers "Speak Now," "Live at ease" and "Engage" through SuperVR.

Speak Now is a virtual reality-based AI English learning service.

The service applies chatbot, voice synthesis and video synthesis technologies to implement instructors with AI so that users can practice English conversation as if they are actually talking to people sitting face to face.

KT will also introduce VR video English service Live at ease. Users can meet as avatars in virtual spaces with native English teachers overseas and have one-on-one real-time conversations and learn English.

The company offers a highly utilized virtual meeting platform called Engage in an environment where video conferencing or remote work is routinely done.

Users can listen to lectures or hold meetings together, using some 30 virtual spaces such as conference rooms or studios, auditoriums and lecture rooms on the Engage platform.

The virtual space allows users to watch various content, such as documents, presentation materials and YouTube videos together. Multiple screens can be freely floated in virtual space in the size or shape of their choice, and 1,200 3D special effects can also be added.

In addition, the company has strengthened its lineup of major contents in games and performances. Based on the globally popular SF action film "Pacific Rim," the VR robot competition game "Pacific Rim VR" has been newly released on SuperVR and the new "Idol Intuitive" menu allows each member to enjoy the idol stage in a 360-degree multi-view.

"Real-world media-based content will be expanded to include essential areas of real-life beyond games and videos," said Park Jeong-ho, executive vice president of IM Business at KT's custodian machine division. "In the future, we will take the lead in introducing premium VR content by combining various technologies and genres to enhance the quality of life of our customers."
