The Korea IT Times appointed Kim Hyoung-joong, esteemed Korea University professor, as its chief editorial writer on March 10th, 2020.
Kim volunteered to serve as a chief editorial writer for the Korea IT Times while also maintaining his positions as a distinguished professor at Korea University and head of its cryptocurrency research center.
He recently stepped down from full-time instruction as a professor at Korea University on February 29 which has freed some time for him to conduct research projects of special interest and teaching.
In addition to his extensive academic background in IT, Kim has substantial journalism experience. Kim served as a reporter for the school's magazine "College of Engineering, Seoul National University" when he was a student at Seoul National University.
He was also the editor-in-chief and part of the founding team of Microsoftware, which enjoyed the highest reputation as an IT magazine since the 1980s.
Kim expressed his ambition for his new editor-in-chief role at Korea IT Times: "I want to help provide approachable and correct information."
Korea IT Times has been spreading the word about the Korean IT industry overseas and introducing the global IT industry to Koreans since its launch in 2004 as the nation's first IT-specialized bilingual newspaper.
